Choosing your charger on road trips is usually based on the practical logistics of your route. You will need to scout ahead for chargers with an app like plugshare, and read the comments from other users to see if the charger is working. During the daytime you will almost always use a fast charger (DCFC). I always stop at the second last charger that I have range for in case that charger is broken, blocked, or busy. I also like to stop for charges where I plan on eating lunch or having coffee or shopping to save time. The best charging is overnight at hotel level 2 chargers where I charge to 100% while I sleep, and is usually free. It sounds like a lot of planning but it really doesn't take much time once you get the hang of it, especially if you are repeating a route you have driven before. Happy travels!when doing long distance should you opt for frequent, short duration, high-rate sessions?
