Loaded question time - does regen really give you much additional battery life? For a while I thought so, but now when going full regen I pick up 0.3-0.4 of a mile and LOSE 0.7-0.8 accelerating back to 30 mph. It's kind of like the HV mileage range thing - is it really doing anything?
Granted you don't recover 100% of the energy lost in coming to a stop but the fact that the battery does charge (mileage goes back up) proves that some energy is directed back to storage during regen. Hesitant to put a number on the percentage, but possibly double digits.
