Thanks! That makes sense. I hadn't thought about turning off ECON to get faster ACC speed recovery. I've been just manually hitting the gas pedal to recover speed, but having the car do that automatically would be more convenient. Thanks for the hint!
Hmmmm...In my experience with ACC, I *like* the fact that it doesn't recover the speed quickly. I like smoother deceleration and acceleration. I notice this much more when following at slower speeds, say under 40 MPH, where the ACC tends to slam on the brakes and then floor it to maintain the speed setting. While that doesn't bother me as the driver much, that would be annoying as a passenger.
I also experiment with the following *distance*. At faster speeds I like the maximum distance, but this also depends on the amount of traffic. Lots of traffic means that cars will fill the gap more often. At slower speeds, I'll use a shorter distance, but likely never the shortest...unless I'm in stop and go traffic. I love ACC and LSF.
