Auto pilot is radically better than super cruise so as usual idiot argument. What is the foot print on super cruise availability(?) About zero because they put it on another obsolete ICE car that non one wants and almost no one is buying. What do the sales look like a Cadillac? Tesla is is destroying the high end of the the auto market with share capture, Cadillac want to get their but after decades of trying can't really break in.
Sounds like Tesla engineers wanted to make Autopilot work like Supercruise

As usual you post has no real information, no experience, and is just a bunch of negative blather that I doubt anyone wants to read or see. Comparing the 2 companies is silly, even though Cadillac did sell more cars in Q1 2018 in the USA than did Tesla in the entire world, and the USA is not even Cadillac's largest car market. The conversation is about supercruise and the fact that GM has passed Tesla by in this technology. Supercruise is not "BETA" and is the only truly hands off system on sale today. GM will roll it out on other vehicles as they get more confident, and since they build nearly 10M vehicles a year even a small percentage is more then Teslas entire fleet.

I watched the video, but didn't see how it related to SuperCruise.
Alex Roy did a pretty thorough head to head with Autopilot and SuperCruise back in January that worth the read if your curious about the details of the two systems. Alex has driven the Model S across the country a couple times and is quite familiar with Autopilot. He thinks the driver monitor makes SuperCruise superior, but the system is so limited to where you can actually use it, I personally disagree. Plus, Autopilot has improved across the entire fleet since then, and will continue to improve.
Of course, you can't add driver monitoring with an over the air (OTA) update, so some people still tend to prefer the SuperCruise. I think Tesla's customers, who tend to really like Autopilot, prefer the less-nanny approach, ie.. only can use the system on certain highways.

Every review I have read the Supercruise comes out on top for reliability, and safety factor. I test drove a CT6, and it was perfect for the 2 miles I went on the freeway. but that is obviously very limited experience. I am going to replace my diesel pickup in 2019, as it will be closing in on 200k hard miles, and I have asked my executive friends at GM to make sure Supercruise Tech is on the new HD pickups, and both just winked at me... No confirm or deny.... I sure hope so...

Oh, it's definitely coming to more of the GM line. The only unknown is the timing.

Exactly... Who knows whats going on in those offices in Detroit. True story, first time I went to the Renaissance Center (GM headquarters) in 2004 I got lost in the lobby as they had all these bridges, ramps and corridors with no way to see where you were at, or how to get around in the building. I spent 10 to 15 minutes every time in the building just to find the right elevator. I was thinking at the time that GM Executives and VIP guests could easily get caught in this same maze, and lose time/productivity, possibly part of the reason GM is so slow to make a decision? I thought "who in the world designed this building?" When I was back there many years later, GM had torn out the maze of ramps and corridors and it was more like a modern office building in any city. I think this is the reason they got the Bolt to the market so quick... Haha! (joke)
