Sharing an observation, not quite sure if this has been shared already.

My battery has never gone down below 20%, SOC so I went about and did that, I noticed that the SE at 8% will notify you that you only have 10km left, and your “electric range severely restricted”, at 7% will notify you that you only have 9km left; at this point I was already at the garage.

I then opened the app to charge the SE at 9pm during my disc rate, the app said it has sent the info to the SE, so I proceeded to plug in the SE to the wall outlet, not an EVSE. And the SE started to charge immediately disregarding the 9pm setting. But, sometime later, the app notified me that it had paused the charging and will restart at 9pm, and I noticed that it was already at 12%.

So the SE disregards your charging timer settings if it is below 12% SOC and will restart your charging settings when it has reached 12% SOC?

I've noticed that. Must be low battery buffer protection. I wonder how much of that 3.7kWh unusable capacity resides on the bottom. I imagine (or hope) most of that 3.7 buffer is on top (above "100%") for battery longevity, as we have no option in manually selecting a max charge below 100%.

Either way, I'm happy they're keeping battery longevity in mind with this immediate charging at plug-in.
