Hi,
I bought the following for my 2018 PHEV.
Jetstream crossbar
https://www.moosejaw.com/product/yakima-jetstream-crossbar_10310748

Baseclip BC117
https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0196GL0V6/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1

Baseline towers

According to etrailor and even the installation guide from the packages.
  • M1 should be 40 3/4"
  • M3 should be 38 7/8"
  • Baseclip BC117 should be used.
What I found was,
  • M1 is 38"
  • M3 is 37 1/8"
  • When it comes to the rear baseclips, sadly I found they are too short.
I have attached the pics of the installation guide and the rear baseclip. I have sent support emails to Yakima too.
If anyone here has installed Yakima bars before, would you please share your experience with me?

Thanks a lot!

The clips are not too short. Set M1/M3 as per instructions. The pads will not sit flat on the roof like you are trying to achieve. I have a Yakima rack that I put on and off frequently. I check the M1/M3 measurements a few times a year.
