I just got a 2024 Niro EV and I’m trying to connect to A Better Route Planner via my OBD dongle as I’ve done before.
However most of the time the dongle does not seem to get power (no red pilot lite) but occasionally it does and everything is fine until I turn off the car and then no dice.
I’ve tried every combination I can think of plugging it in with the car on, with the car off…
Has anyone had / solved this issue?

TIA
Bill

The port is powered all the time so perhaps it's a bad connection at the pins?
Thanks for your reply.

I think it may be due to a low 12v battery voltage… maybe. When I bought the car it had been charged and my ODB device worked fine. Later I was unable to connect to it. I checked the battery and it was just over 12v. Since the car had sat at the dealer for a few weeks I thought that my br the problem that my device needed more voltage to work.
After a 300 mile trip with a couple of charge sessions this morning it’s at just under 12.5v. I think that’s lower than a full charge (+-14?)

The 12v battery is the original so maybe it is time to replace it.
