No longer receiving texts

Last week, the car no longer "recieves" texts and displays them in the dashboard where I could have the car read them to me and send responses from the list. My Samsung phone and watch are getting them. Have checked all settings to receive notifications and I can use voice commands to make calls through the phone. I'm baffled what setting got messed up. Anyone have anything similar, always wonder if it can be a software update.

Did you perhaps 'mute' the conversation at one point?

Where's the mute setting in a 2018 clarity?

It's part of Android Auto, not the car.

Looks like a common thing for Samsung phones?

try this on the phone:

click Settings>Connected Devices>Connection Preferences>Android Auto
Android auto app settings... Notifications...at bottom is Do Not Disturb "over ride"
turn that On.
