And one of them is an obvious example of somebody flooring the accelerator instead of the brakes then claiming the brakes didn't work.

Another is some moron tailgating on the interstate and complaining that that CMBS works well.

Keep a few grains of salt handy.

An interesting observation while using ACC: The car will brake aggressively if you happen to be following someone on the far lane, and they are entering an offramp. Perhaps LKAS indicates to the ACC computer that the lane has widened, thus technically still single-occupancy, until it can clearly detect the offramp partition lines?

Just a funky "feature" I've found. Still love the car
 
These are just complaints. There may not be any triage selection for valid or reasonable complaints. For comparison, the 2018 Tesla Model 3 AWD has 29 complaints. It should be noted that despite the 32 complaints for Clarity PHEV, there have been zero recalls or investigations so far.

I noticed on my recent first trip on the interstate using LKAS, that it has a tendency to follow the white line on the side of the road right up the offramp unless called to order by a tug on the reins.
 
I think several of us on here have generated some of those complaints. I know I did at least one for the HV range issue well before it was fixed. This is why I will probably buy a Tesla for my next vehicle as they can fix those OTA within short order. Took Honda weeks to even admit it was a problem, months to issue a fix, then the fix was buggy and they issued another fix, maybe took 7 months and two dealer visits for a minor software update. I am done with that model.

Want changes to LKAS on a delivered model? Good luck unless it is safety critical.

I think you're giving too much credit to the logic in the ACC. It sees a vehicle in front of you that is slowing; it doesn't know that that vehicle is exiting until it gets far enough down the exit to be no longer considered "in front of you". If there is a sufficiently long deceleration ramp and the exiting vehicle pulls completely into it, this problem doesn't occur, but this is not the usual case. I also find it annoying, but I chalk it up to not enough computer power and enough sensors to be able to reliably detect that the car in front is not a collision risk.

I've noticed this as well, but I'd rather have it auto slow down than have that car attempt to leave my lane and not and then rear end it :)

Also since you can manually accelerate and it won't disable ACC you can manually accelerate if you can tell you'll clear it fine.

That's strange, every time I manually accelerate it kicks off the ACC.

Yes, but when you remove the manual acceleration, the ACC re-engages. My experience is that there seems to be a short delay in that process which allows the speed to fall a bit, at which point the ACC wakes up and surges to regain the set speed. I have the same ACC on my CRV and this behavior is much less severe.
 
OK maybe I'm resetting it before it has a chance to reset. Doesn't matter anyway, I think I've sworn off using ACC anyway.

If you are in ECON mode the acceleration is slower than in normal (no econ) or sport modes.
