Next-Gen MINI electric teased with 3 doors

The next MINI is in the works and they've released some teaser images. Design is not revolutionary, thankfully and obviously. As thread title says they showed of a 3-door version. The electric version will be built in China on a electric-specific platform.

While the exterior shape is still MINI, the rectangular screen in the center is a departure.

Will it be lighter, quicker, and offer more range? It would take all three to pry my fingers off my SE's MINI Yours steering wheel.

I think asking dealers to eat the China tariffs could backfire. Disincentivizing EV sales is no good, dealers will push the higher-margin ICE models. Maybe building EVs in China for other markets isn't such a good strategy?
