New wheels or repair

Hello - unfortunately my wife had badly curbed all four oem wheels on our Clarity over our 18 months of ownership.

I was originally thinking of going the repair route, but given I’d be repairing all four wheels, I’m almost wondering if it would be worth it just replacing them. That said, had anyone replaced their wheels with new oem? If so, any recommendations on where to get them?

*Also, not considering aftermarket wheels at this time.

Thanks!

Here are a set of Refurbished wheels on Ebay:

The plastic inserts can be purchased on Ebay for about $50 each if you need any of them. I have a set of four in my closet that I'd give up if anyone wants them (I changed mine out for black, since my car is black).
I know you said you wanted OEM, but the Honda civic wheels are identical to ours, just don't have the sound deadening resonators. I've always liked their look:

If you go with the Civic wheels, you will want to also add the Hondo Logo wheel caps.

I also suspect that you can get your wheels refurbished for less than $200 each if you know someone nearby that does this work.

I like my Honda Clarity accessory wheels (aftermarket, but Honda aftermarket), which cost much less, but have no resonators.

I understand that an answer would be purely subjective rather than exact decibel deficit, but what is the difference in noise between the OEM rims and aftermarket rims without the resonators? Is it noticeable?

If you are handy with DIY, you can repair yourself pretty easily - I did mine over the winter last year.

The first one I lightly filed and just painted with matching paint with clear on top (And then some wet sanding and hand polishing to knock down the edges from my masking. It looks....okay.
The second one I lightly filed, then filled with a little bondo, and repeated the paint/clear/sand/polish procedure and it looks GOOD.

FYI
Krylon MAXXX Silver Metallic is a PERFECT match to our wheel color. Note: this is NOT an automotive paint. Just a plain-old rattle can I picked up for another project at walmart, home depot, or someplace like that.
For the clear I just used a little rattlecan of duplicolor clear coat.

These rims must stand REALLY proud of the tires, as they are super easy to scrape if you even just lightly touch a curb when parallel parking.

I bought my Clarity PHEV at the beginning of December, 2017 so I had my Honda dealer put the Nokian Hakkapeliitta tires I bought on the car before taking delivery. When spring arrived, I had my dealer mount the OEM tires on the Clarity accessory wheels. So the "quiet" wheels have always worn the noisy tires, making me unable to answer your question. After more than 20 years of driving gen-1 Honda Insights with no wheel resonators and no sound insulation, the road noise in the Clarity with the accessory wheels seems non-existent to me.

Thanks for the feedback everyone, some great suggestions here. It's funny, I was actually eyeing up the Clarity accessory wheels the other day, but they are still pretty pricey on the Honda site. Definitely going to be hunting out a deal on those.

Do you happen to still have the can, if so can you post a photo of it, or maybe find a link for it online? Krylon makes CoverMAXX and ColorMAXX, maybe the color is the same for both but maybe not that's why I was wondering which one you used.
