No, not a damaged vehicle, its less than a year old as new condition just told to turn off the vehicle because it might catch fire if not turned off. The fan was running.
A. Electric vehicles don’t really turn off they are dormant but the systems are active like over heat protection that kicks in when in a hot sun.
B. If there is an imminent risk of fire they shouldn’t be allowed on a ferry especially on the lower deck. I am sure on or off the risk is the same.
C. Almost empty gas tanks particularly on older car are probably a greater risk, worse on a hot day
D. Just Lithium ion? What about LFP, doesn’t burn.
E. Why do they warn people with propane tanks to turn them off and not electric vehicle drivers
I just would like to know if this is an actual rule. Does anyone know what BC ferries stand is?
