I did take video, but it might be too shaky to use on my channel! I am budgeting for a GoPro Hero 9 for its image stabilization. Hopefully will have one before too long and can start getting better "on the move" footage! Another mistake I made was forgetting to disconnect from Apple Carplay. Apple, in its infinite anti-pirate wisdom, disables audio when you start recording video on CarPlay. So I lost all of my narration.
 
If you already have a Gopro, the EVO SS Gimbal has been effective for me. I use it to record bike rides, strapped to my chest.

OK this seems to explain why no support for EV Routing. Apparently, it’s not actually been released yet. Search for “EV Routing” somewhere in the middle of the article.

Interesting. I was looking through the API documentation, and I think it's kind of odd it's part of SiriKit. But there are clear methods for providing power state. I can't believe they don't work still. I wonder how much it would take to write a dummy EV car app to test the functionality.

update: SiriKit makes sense after all, since it's going though CarPlay.

The app charging type notifications stopped yesterday (iPhone), is it just me? I tried logging out and back in but no joy.

Yeah, I imagine there was an existing interface to check EV status from smart speakers that they leveraged. From a dev message board I read they had added calls to report destination and scalers to approximate power use. Just odd how the went silent on the feature so quickly.

Nope, it’s not just you. I started reading through this thread to see if anyone else was missing their notifications as well. Glad to see it’s not just me too!

I’ll be putting in more feedback, I guess.

Everything still works in the Olde Androide app, but of course it never offered that fancy notifications feature (a feature the Honda app has offered since at least 2017 when we purchased our Clarity Plug-In Hybrid).

When I fired up the app, I was startled to see a box pop up. Before reading it, I assumed my wonderful app had jilted me. But nope, it was just a request to rate the app. I dismissed the request because I know MINI doesn't care a whit how much I like the app from which they've moved on.

I'm still on 14.6, so 14.7 may not be it. I do have the apps background refresh a enabled, so I was thinking there was a refresh.

I was curious and took a drive with the fish after work yesterday. I had zero stars in Anticipation and Acceleration - the fish image was very unhappy, and the tank water was all wavy. I accelerated like my grandma out for a Sunday drive. Every couple of minutes the fish would jump out of the water and update the star rating. Other than that the image is static. After about 20 minutes and 13 miles, I managed to get 5 stars in both categories, and the fish was happy and the tank water smooth.

I then punched the accelerator to the floor, and the image immediately changed to a hilarious panicking fish with the tank tilting backward, and my acceleration stars dropped to 2 out of 5, just like that. Another punch of the accelerator got me to one star, and a third punch to zero stars. I'm not very minimalist.

I could see this entertaining younger kids, for sure. But, for me, I get more entertainment out of rapid zoom zoom.

The older ones only had un/happy fish. I did get to see "oh no" fish but yes, the rest of it was the same. I loved the darn fish. still no reply from Mini. Ugh.
 
So I now have charging notifications, but lost the charging history feature. The charging plan screen contains all the charging events, but the history screen has nothing since Thursday.....
