I've been able to charge my SE at Tesla Supercharger. We have a fairly new MagicDock station in a very handy location. However, I've had to use my own adapter as I've never been able to get the Magic adapter to release from the charger. I've watched every YouTube video of other people using MagicDock. I've tried every possible technique, to no avail. All of users I've ever run into at this location are all using NACS. I also follow this location on Plugshare as well as on the Tesla App.

That's super interesting because that specific V4 site does not have any magic docks, you have to bring your own adapter. It must be running PLC instead of Canbus.
 
According to the Tesla App our local Northmall station was supposedly a MagicDock. It is listed as a 12 stall station. And when new it was listed as 12 CCS and 12 NACS. Not sure what that has changed recently. In fact, PlugShare still has it listed as a MagicDock: 12 CCS and 12 NACS.
 
No need to claim BMW. Actually just set up your SE in the Tesla App on your phone and it will display all the local Tesla chargers that will work with your MINI.
 
Well seeing that a BMW i3 also successfully charged at that V4 station with a NACS adapter gives us hope that it could nationwide!

So what adapter are you using?
 
I just charged at a new ChargePoint DCFC location, and every charger has both CCS1 and J3400/NACS plugs. I'm wondering if it makes sense to charge via an adapter as opposed to the bulkier CCS1 connector. There's also an IONNA location I frequent for charging that's a similar dual-use set up. I have two J3400 adapters from Ford, and I'm thinking of trying one of them with my SE. Since these aren't Teslas site it should work, right?
 
I’ve started to investigate the age and version of Tesla Superchargers through available apps. If I’m not mistaken, the newer V3 and V4 SC can accept an adapter. The older V2 SC (with very short cables) just don’t. I’m sure that there are SE forum users with much greater knowledge about the Tesla sites than I possess. After all, my road-tripping and use of DCFC locations is infrequent. I was in central Maine recently (with a 2025 Countryman SE) and was frustrated by an empty 8-stall Tesla station (V2) adjacent to two in-demand ChargePoint units. During my 5-day stay, I saw one Tesla at the SC but a steady rotation of EVs (Hyundai, Kia, Audi, Ford, Volvo) at the ChargePoint.

The Tesla app will tell you. Enter your SE as a vehicle in the app and answer “no” to the question about a NACS adapter. The only Superchargers shown when searching in the app will be Magic Dock chargers. (Destination (AC) chargers will show up too, but you can hide those when searching by activating the button with three lightning bolts to filter out the level 2 chargers.)

Yes, with the exception of some stations that offer a Tesla plug via a CHAdeMO-to-Tesla adapter (mostly older EVgo stations), your J3400 adapter will work with NACS equipped chargers at non-Tesla stations. I've been doing this at my local IONNA stations, as the CCS stalls were usually occupied while the NACS stalls were usually free.
 
I used a Portsmouth IONNA station twice on that Maine trip. I had little trouble finding a CCS but I had wondered about the NACS slots with my adapter. Thanks for the info.
