I've had my 2022 Mini since late Sept. and have under 1,000 miles on the clock. Yesterday, for the first time, I charged the Mini to 100%. Instead of the 114 mile rated range I was expecting my car showed only 99 miles. As I drove the first few miles the range went up to 103 miles, and then started going down.

My question is this: has this happened to others on this forum? Is it normal for a new Mini SE? Or, do I have a problem which should be addressed.

Thank you in advance for your advice.

Totally normal. The SE's GOM (Guess-O-Meter) is notoriously conservative.

I run around at 75+ MPH in Houston heat with the AC on full blast, and my GOM shows under 100 miles range, but I am always on pace to get about 120 miles, even with that driving profile.

Same here. I'm in Brisbane (Australia), and similarly run around in sports mode with the aircon on. My GOM normally says around 160 km (100 miles), yet I get about 240km. You need to calculate your range from the battery percentage rather than the GOM. I believe the GOM was callibrated around Hockenheim with a headwind and 3 passengers on a cold winters day ;)

Like an ICE's low fuel warning, it goes on when you have at least 20 miles left... and 20 miles is a relatively large % of a very small 150 mile tank. If you monitor the range in an ICE you may see very similar behavior as the GOM relatively speaking. If you monitor the fuel gauge/range on most 2 gal tank motorcycles, is a similar situation. Not very precise, one must use manual methods to get a better feel.

i just tried to calculate my range. at green+ first 5% ran for about 11km. so that gives me 220 km and 136 mileish. i wish that it has a daily dairy of mileage used per day. so i can do more recording.
