Mobile vs Wall Level 2 chargers

Shopping for my level 2 charging at home.

Have come across the siemens Verischarge, vs Jekayla portable charger.

Is there any other advantage of a wall charger cs a mobile charger aside from the fact that you have to carry the mobile one around?

Both of those should work about the same, assuming you're looking at the 32A version of the Jekayla. Be aware that if you're thinking of carrying the mobile one with you and plugging it in where ever you are, it's not very common to find a NEMA 14-50 outlet to plug in to. The mobile one would probably be ideal if you had something like a weekend home or cabin that you went to, or an office where you can have a NEMA 14-50 installed. Then you could use the same EVSE both places.

As businesses realize the promotional opportunity, the Plugshare site is expanding to include businesses that simply have a plug available with no EVSE equipment. For the most part, the ones I've seen there have simply been 120V outlets but we may start to see more 240V outlets appearing as that is cheaper for businesses and, long-term, more trouble-free than putting an EVSE in place (which in these "early days" have had operational problems more routinely than they should). At the moment, about the only place you will find NEMA 14-50 outlets is at RV parks. The "wall charger" is mobile, too, so long as you get the model with the plug and mount it in such a way (to an intermediate piece of plywood) that you then can relatively easily remove from the wall.
