Hi everyone,
I am looking to buy a set of the 17-inch asymmetrical "Corona Spoke" (also known as Power Spoke) wheels originally found on the Cooper SE.
Ideally, I'm looking for a clean set of 4 with minimal to no curb rash. I'm open to buying them either with or without tires.
I am located in IL and would prefer a local pickup if you are nearby. However, I am completely willing to pay for shipping if you are located elsewhere and the price is right.
Please send me a PM with photos, condition details, and your asking price if you have a set you're willing to part with.
Thanks!

There's a new set on eBay in Germany for $1,740.01 (with coupon and including shipping). I should sell mine with less than 1,000 miles on them, but I put them on my Iconic SE for one day every year to show them off at Drive Electric events. I have yet to find anybody who was impressed by them, however. These Power Spokes from Germany seem like a good deal; I wouldn't sell mine (still wearing my favorite OEM Hankook Ventus Prime summer performance tires) that cheap.

Now the big question: Will you be putting the Power Spoke wheels you find on an electric MINI, or will you be manifesting some Frankensteinian travesty of wheeldom like this Mk 3 Golf? The owner couldn't be bothered to rotate the asymmetric Power Spoke wheels to match.

Thank you. I will check out that listing and put an offer in.

Ha. I’ll be putting them on a Cooper hardtop, silver and black. I feel like these wheels really compliment that color scheme.

OK, you're not putting Power Spokes on a Volkswagen, so I'll impart the important Power Spoke information you'll need.

First, you'll need to buy one of these adapters to balance these asymmetric cylinders of mobile art. The wheel-cover must be removed to mount any wheel on a tire-balancing machine. Because the Power Spoke wheel-cover is asymmetric, a wheel balanced without it would be out of balance after it is re-installed. This piece of plastic plugs into the off-center mounting hole for the Power Spoke wheel-cover and simulates its asymmetric weight while the wheel is on the balancing machine.

Second, you'll need to install some curb-feelers on your MINI to prevent transferring the ring of Energetic Yellow paint from your Power Spoke wheels to an undeserving curb. I purchased a set of used MINI Loop Spoke wheels when my MINI Cooper SE was delivered because I loved the look of the Power Spoke wheels so much I couldn't bear to see them defaced. Admittedly, no one on this forum has reported installing ugly curb-feelers on their MINI, but I bet all Power Spoke owners have thought about it, or at least the few Power Spoke owners old enough to know curb-feelers ever existed.
