I just shut off the car - pushed the lock button on the driver door armrest and the doors locked. I opened the driver door and it unlocked- the rear door remained lock until I hit the unlock door button- next to lock oneI have a 2025 Ionic 5. Is there a way to lock the doors before getting out? There must be a way, but I don’t see it.
I had the front door closed when I pushed the lock button and then opene driver door - I did have to still lock it (but all other doors were locked). I suspect that is the step you want to eliminate.I shut the car off, open the driver-side door, and press the armrest door lock button. Something clicks, but when I get out and close the door, the doors are still unlocked and the door handles are out. What am I missing?
Try it when one happens to leave an Xtra FOB in the car...by accident of courseWell, I tried this myself, and it worked exactly as you describe. But I can't imagine the utility of it. When I exit the car, I still have to lock the driver's door. It doesn't really solve my issue. Every car that I've owned for, perhaps, the last 50 years has worked as I've described: I shut the car off, open the driver-side door, and press the armrest door lock button. I then get out, shut the door, and ALL doors are locked. Why should I have to stand in a pouring rain to lock the car or touch a very hot door handle (I live in Arizona!). I can't be the first person to have this issue.
