The feature that you’ve described simply turns on the head lights, in some instances, when the wipers are activated, which must be done manually on current models.
Are you certain that you're not quoting Voltaire?I think the actual Lincoln quote is "don't believe everything you read on the internet"

So is this exactly what the 2020 Clarity PHEV offers, too?Same as above. Activating wipers may turn on headlights.
Wipers are not activated automatically by rain on windshield.
Yes there was an original error stating rain-sensing wipers that never made it into the production product. Perhaps the 2020 simply picked up old text.Wasn't there an error in a Clarity press-release years ago that said the 2018 PHEV had rain-sensing wipers?
Edit: I guess it wasn't a press-release. I was remembering @descolado on this forum who read on Facebook that the 2018 Clarity PHEV had rain-sensing wipers.
Or the Owners manual is incorrect.
The linked article says nothing about where it will be sold.
Honda will indeed still prioritize CA, with a few showing up in other ZEV states as inventory, but "available to order" from any dealer (that is willing to do so).
The Honda website shows them in transit to various California zip codes: https://automobiles.honda.com/tools...lseries=clarity-plug-in-hybrid&modelyear=2020More confirmation of CA inventory availability, with ordering still a possibility in other states:
Green Car Reports: "2020 Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid returns to California, other states by order."

Fwiw the Fuel Cell version had "real" rain sensing wipers since 2017. So it's possible they brought it overIt's possible, but the 2020 Honda site trims/specs page just says "Variable Intermittent Windshield Wipers", nothing about rain-sensing. The chances that Honda made no other changes to the car but to add a single random feature that probably isn't that high on most peoples's "need" list, unlike say a volume knob (which I don't miss, just giving an example), is pretty low. Same for the AVAS -- I would not be surprised at all if it's just the same as the 2018 and 2019 and the article writers were just sloppy about finding what's "new". As far as I know the sounds they put in already comply with the regulations, so I'm not sure why they'd change it.
In any case, eagerly awaiting firsthand reports from someone who gets a 2020! If they're anywhere near me we can compare sounds and features![]()
It's not a big reach to equate a tax credit with a tax rebate.I noticed that in the article posted by the OP that he/she states that the Clarity qualifies for the $7500 rebate. Seriously? Does anyone that writes articles on the Internet do any research?
