"Interior Surface Silver Chequered" "surface" appears to be a no cost option for 2023. Does anyone have a good picture of it they can post? And does anyone know what it covers? I don't want the beige door handles, but may want the chequered surface if i go with anthracite headliner which also appears to be a no cost option for 2023.
Thanks

It looks like the online build configurator was (finally!) updated today for 2023, so it includes the new 2023 colors options and interior treatments (including Interior Surface Silver Checkered).

BTW, I'm new. Just ordered a 2023 SE last week. Stumbled on this forum.

Just build an ICE Mini Cooper S on MINI USA and you will see what "Interior Surface Silver Chequered" looks like.

Thanks. Its just the crappy picture in the configurator that you get with the SE. i want more detail. I will probably order it. If i dont like it, I dont think the dealer will have a problem swapping it with someone who has a base since you need iconic in the ICE to get it.

Or swap it for black and cash with someone who has black. Hmmm.

I don't know if this helps, but zooming in on the 360 deg interior shot, it looks like a tweed fabric weave under clearcoat...sort of like carbon fiber, but more gray/silver.

Is it the same as the Electric Collection? This is what my trim looks like.

Does anyone know if making changes to configuration pushes you to the back of the line if you already have a production number.

I would love to add the parking assist and adaptive cruise on my Sig+ config without having to upgrade to iconic, as well as change the dash. I am speced with British Racing Green which appears to no longer be offered. Wonder if they will still allow me to get that color.

Normally it wouldn't, but with the ongoing shortages it might, since they may not have parts for the options you want.

Just got back from the dealer in Austin. They said it would not impact production schedule. However, I was not able to add the parking assist and adaptive on my Signature + as they are only putting that into Iconic due to the shortage. The anthracite roof liner was also $250 for the sig+ though it shows as free on the website. The dash change was free (I went with aluminum).

Let me know if anyone hears otherwise from their dealer.

Rut roh, me too, I REALLY hope I can still get it... no offense to anyone but I really don't like the other colors. I'd go yellow/orange if it were an option still. *sigh*

edit: In some other threads, folks are saying that they've spoken to dealers and BRG isn't going away. Mini UK site has it as an option already for 2023. Whew.

Went into the dealer. It is still an option. The configurator is still being updated.
