Increase range after Flashing ECU?

Don't kill the messenger.

So, in the last month or 2, I have noticed the GOM has been getting lower and lower every time I charge fully both on 110v (at home) and 240v (at work). I charge both in the morning at work, and at home over night when I get home from work.

My Capacity on Car Scanner was always around 45-47ah. I had not checked it for maybe 2 months. I usually get the dreaded christmas tree lights every month or so, so I just clear the codes and keep driving. It had been a while since they had come on (hence not clearing/flashing the ECU). I checked it yesterday and it was at 42ah.

GOM full charge was 37-39miles and I would get at best 32miles of actual range (Trip meter). I used to get 40-50 on GOM average after every charge.

So as an experiment when I got home yesterday before plugging in for the night, I flashed the ECU twice with the Torque app and Battery capacity returned to 54ah (as expected).

This morning my car read 47miles on the GOM and managed 42-45miles on EV on my drive to work.... WTF!! I just finished charging at work right now, and GOM reads 55MILES!!!

How is this possible.

Does your Clarity brain surgery produce 55 miles of actual EV range? If so, we'll all want to be following your example.

No of course not. The GOM is extremely inaccurate.

I'm more interested in the direct relation between the amp hour reading and limiting battery capacity as a failsafe of some sort.

If your ah reading starts to drop, if the ECU will lower your range as protection. Weird part is my KWh every time I charged was around the same. Always around 9-9.5kw.
