That looks like an old Mercedes B-class electric drive. Pretty rare, and limited range.

Oregon's statute doesn't reference what type of vehicle can park in EV charging spots, only that it must be engaged in the refueling process.Ah, it wasn't plugged in. That's an interesting question, can you park in the space if you aren't plugged in for any EV?
Looks eerily similar to EQB, regardless, move aside if not charging :Nope

So in Oregon - no, you can't park there if not plugged in. Subject to interpretation as to what happens if you stay plugged in after your charge session has finished.

It matters less about the story that's been written so far, it's how the rest of the pages unfold, that counts

I've often speculated that an EV parking spot ought to have a parking meter at a high rate, say $2/hr, but linked to the EVSE:
A dual use, EVSE and parking meter, easily solves the problem. Parking enforcement would handle the rest.
- $0.25 minimum charge
- $2/hr when not charging
- $0.25/hr when charging

Airport parking is a case where a valet service makes sense. The only problem are cars that lock the J1772 in the socket. There is an ugly workaround, removable latch, but it could be done. Ideally a J1772 variant that can not be locked in nor removed without dropping 'prescience'.I guess this could work for "on the street" charging but this application is in parking garage at airport. I'm already paying to park, tacking on additional fees for being on charger the whole time you're on your 7 day vacation is a bit much. The charger at the doctors office building should be a complimentary charge as it is. Enforcement as you stated is the real issue.
Anybody else see the stupid battery tender box that some asshole designed to be installed on diesel trucks or jeeps that "charges" their 12v battery? Was in vegas and a dick in a jeep was so proud of his little toy that let him plug in at an ev spot for no reason other than to brag he was "charging his battery" told me the website he bought it from but i forgot. Icethemout.com or some similar i cant seem to find it now.
uh. this seems to be an extreme reaction to this.Anybody else see the stupid battery tender box that some asshole designed to be installed on diesel trucks or jeeps that "charges" their 12v battery? Yes, but some dude charging a battery in the back of his jeep/truck at at level 2 charger isn't the same thing as rolling coal. I can't even find this specific product either, but I'm curious to how large the battery may be.Not really, ever heard of "Coal Rolling" or "Rolling Coal?

To be honest, some of the rolling coal is a response to the behavior that is satirized in the South Park episode "Smug Alert". (I have legit heard a dude use the same tone of voice bragging to be one of the first prius owners in the state I live in. lol)

(This same type of attitude is also why many people don't like or want to be associated with Tesla cars.)
You can think that behavior is irrational all you want to, but so is the obnoxious self-righteous attitude of some hybrid/plug-in-hybrid/bev drivers.
Can you believe the price of the newly listed Tesla CCS adaptor:Here are a few products that can be used to connect up a battery maintainer

Not really much of an issue because all that would do is increase the demand for more of that infrastructure in the short term. That would just benefit EVs in the long run.The issue with product if it actually exists is that you could in essence tie up every charger with an ICE vehicle that is not a PHEV or BEV, but due to loose regulations would qualify as being able to occupy the space.
The attitude was far more prevalent among hybrid owners when they first came out. The prevalence reduced as more normal people bought hybrids and the same will happen with BEVs. The same people with that attitude who bought the hybrids first also bought BEVs first too. The attitude is still pretty awful with Tesla owners and will be until EVs become more normal from all the other manufacturers.Interesting, never saw the video, before. Can't say I've encountered any hybrid or BEV owners with this tone. Have you seen the movie "Soylent Green?"
Not yet. Saving money and waiting for a few stations to be built first. Are you a PHEV or BEV owner?
Very true. That could be done. But that doesn't seem to describe what the other guy was posting about.Found this: https://www.evseadapters.com/products/j1772-ev-adapter-for-ebike/
I could rig this up to charge 12v car battery in a few hours.
One caution about the CCS1-to-Tesla adapter is a 50 kW limitation. Having used a 50 kW CHAdeMO-to-Tesla adapter, they are not terribly fast. I have not seen anything about the Sorth Korean adapter power limitation.
