The safest solution is to downgrade extended range models to 51kWh LFP. If drivers can manage the 70% SoC 69kWh restriction, then 100% SoC of 51kWh should be plenty.

Brings back memories of LG a few years back ie: Bolt and Kona recalls.

Geely already settled with Sunwoda, so it's going to be kept quiet. It's best for both sides that the bad news doesn't spread. Now if the batteries are refurbished and resold as new vehicles...that could be a different issue.

It's probably going to be repurposed as battery storage for homes.
