So I'm very careful with recurring costs (subscriptions and the like), but a one time $10 "for life" software gives me no pause. And yes, the developer of (Re)Link may call it quits at any time. That being said, I really feel like its kind of a no-brainer. Since re-link appears to have been programmed to automatically do a "find my car" for you at each open, it basically automatically requests an update on open.
So you always have an up to date view of your Clarity. Anyway, its a major improvement for HondaLink users at least for iOS users.
Oh and (re)link preserves your SOC information.
So if you're on an iPhone and you own a Clarity, I'd say just buy it and be happy.
If you're on Android, sorry it doesn't currently exist.
