Another plug for (Re)Link:
So first, thanks to the folks in the forum talking about (Re)Link. I did purchase the lifetime for $10. I find myself now using both it and the HondaLink. I think the pair (together) are an improvement over just the HondaLink app.
I've always wrestled with HondaLink (the real one) and getting it to update. I typically hit refresh until I'm blue in the face, and it updates when it feels like it. I do this dance of hitting refresh, and if enough time has passed since last refresh, and I remember to look again in a few minutes, I do see it refresh. With ReLink if I haven't touched it just minutes before, but then casually open Re-link, it updates immediately and has the last update timing listed as "now." This without me ever touching the refresh button. So this one feature alone seems worth $10 to me (automatic refresh). And it just shows me where my car is parked on the main display in the app, without me pressing "find my car."
As others mention the display on re-link has the temperature. This is also super-helpful. The car doesn't initiate climate schedule if the interior temp is 50F or higher. So when this fails, its obvious why. i.e. if the car is already 55F inside, scheduled climate will not go, by design. The widget feature in iOS means I now have HondaLink info (i.e. SOC) on my lock screen. So the sum of this message is a me-too!
PS: I don't mean to diminish anyone's report of HondaLink (or Re-Link) being erratic. For some reason or another my link to the Honda Servers has always worked for me-- or I should say, as well as it does. I realize there are times when the Honda servers are not available. The failures may have complex origins (including just their systems not being designed correctly) but I also have good ATT signal where I live which i presume is part of some folks' issue. (The modem in Clarity is definitely an ATT LTE modem, so if the car doesn't see ATTs cellular network, you will have issues. And in my experience, when I go somewhere with no ATT signal, yep, that completely breaks HondaLink.)
