Honda Insight will live again (as a BEV, but not in US)

Autoblog says the 4th-gen Insight is yet another BEV that isn't coming to the US, and this time it's a crossover, not a car:
  • Honda is reviving the Insight name as a fully electric coupe-crossover in Japan.
  • The new Insight is larger, based on China’s Honda e:NS2, priced around $27,000 after incentives.
  • Despite the familiar name, this new Insight is unlikely to have any future in the US.

Had Honda promised the US a BEV Insight car (not a logical idea, I'll admit), I'd already be waiting outside my dealer with a deposit check.

I hope they get their act together soon. Honda was THE brand for a long time. Since the early 2000s, they just haven't interested me or the masses in anything they've put out.

A Russian website displayed a more complete image of the 4th-gen Insight. I dislike crossovers, but I must admit it's not hideous.

That website also listed the Insight crossover's dimensions: "Length is about 4.79 m, width is 1.84 m, and height is 1.57 m. The car is longer than the Honda CR-V but lower, emphasizing its coupe-like silhouette."
