I saw a picture of this wheel on the Japanese Clarity site. I thought it was some kind of sound reducing item. I found the page talking about it. Wonder if that is only in the Japanese model.

The wheel itself look like the same wheel on North America Clarity, not sure about the resonator inside.

That's interesting. If NA Clarity has it, it could be a significant reason not to replace with aftermarket wheels either for the look or when one is broken.

The hub cap side looks like our wheel and cap. Anybody taken a tire off to see if the attachment to the wheel shown is on ours? Honda sure put a lot of thought into noise reduction on the Clarity and it shows (or rather hears).

The main differences I can see are the greater number of colors and the much higher price (suggests Honda is taking a loss on the N. American Claritys). The 70 mile EV Japan marketed range meshes well with the EPA estimate of 47 miles. They are using a different standard for their own market. It's similar for the 33 mile internationally marketed EV range for the Outlander PHEV when the EPA estimate is only 22 miles. People have been reporting as much as 70 miles or more Clarity EV range here in N. America as the weather warmed up. There are certainly days where I wouldn't be surprised if I could exceed 70 miles.

After watching this video I found some features on Japan version which ours don't have:
- Signal light on the side mirror
- HDMI port above USB port
- Ability to watch TV
- Circle button (?) at the middle of center air vent
- Blue tint on top windshield
- Factory back and rear windows tinted (?)
- lack of Home link buttons

That circle in the middle of the center air vent is the air ionizer that's standard in the US Clarity Fuel Cell car. I couldn't tell if this car also has the Clarity Fuel Cell's head-up display.

I'm glad not to have those dark rear windows on our Clarity.

They also have power folding side mirrors. I would want this feature and signal light on the side mirrors instead of the right mirror camera.

Love the blue color. That would be my choice. Thank God the ability to watch TV is not available in the US. People are already killing each other on the road with their obsessive texting.

The signal light on the side mirror may be there for regulatory reasons. You can see another example in this pic. I see them on all cars when I'm in UK. It's a turn signal indicator on the front quarter panels.
