All you have to do is type Google Trends into Google and then up will come Google Trends
Then just type in: Rivian, Cybetruck
to get the graphical comparison of interest based on the number of times people type either term into Google.
It should be noted that Google Trends can be manipulated. I believe that Sony did that or actively still does it at least since the time it was having serious mind share and PR problems. But what is good about the new ones before some one points a bot net at the service to manipulate the values behind the search terms is you can see just how utterly irrelevant (I mean way worse than Model 3 vs Bolt in actual sales worked out) Rivian (its entire brand and all of its products) is relative to Cybertruck. In the US there is only 1 state (Rivian's home state Michigan) by a 5% margin where Rivian as search term (company and all its products) beats Cybertruck by 5%. Again Google Trend measures the frequency of people searching for a search term and lets you compare terms over time. And there was only one week where people searched for Rivian since the Cybertruck's introduction more than Cybertruck. You'll see I am sure its much worse for that GM Truck the Lordstown Endurance (unless GM bot netted it-didn't check) than Rivian but what was GM thinking trying to use oil Jihad branding with the selection of a name (even if it was a pre-existing plant- dumb to appeal to jingoism) and using a design out of GTA3?
For Rivian vs Cybertruck still seems to be pristine and it breaks it down by state so in places like West Virginia the interest is 86% in favor of Cybertruck and not much different of Arkansas or North Dakota. You never seen a trouncing like this. But you know the fudsters were aware of these maps and this data when they tried to make it appear like Rivian had relative interest against CT- it sure as hell didn't. It started with questioning whether the Cybertruck had even 500k reservations by Fred Lambert- a bs move at the time to be sure. Then Musk to add fuel to the fire said more than 200K reservations. But we knew it passed that in the first week. It was just that people were getting in a bunch thinking as Todd the Cybertruck Truck guy was warning them that they needed to reserve soon or get multiple reservations because might have to wait too long in the order cue relative to production prospects. So next it was determined that some people had multiple reservations just for that reason and some were trading reservations for various reasons. But the fudsters tried to say there were cancellations. But Todd said he through it was over 700K recently and said once people got to experience it it would skyrocket and he gave some concrete examples of this happening. Pretty sure it was said to be over a million recently (100 million $$ in reservations) but there might have been some de-duplication by estimators over people with multiple deposits that might not act on those.
But there is apparently evidence that the Cybertruck has the most interest among people who have never had a truck more interest that is than any of the big three for people new to trucks and even among truck people CT has more interest than Dodge which had the most highly rated pick up the last couple years. That should terrify the Big 3 and I think we can see it does in part with Hackett leaving. But I am pretty sure Ford is one of those companies that aims a bot net at Google Trends to try to skew the results and has for some years- companies that are getting embarrassed to pieces especially behind the scenes play this game- I've spent some time with this tool since its introduction a while back so I know how off some of the stats can be for suspect firms but when you see that it confirms your suspicions. GM has been losing so hard for a long time now I am pretty sure it likely plays the same bot net game but I don't know because I didn't check. If it was clueless to the point that it hasn't spiked it funny if people catch it trying to spike it. But if you hurry you can get some apparently un-maligned screen shots of this search to see just how quick Rivian went from very kool to not even an after thought. What you see with Rivian since the CT looks like people check it just to be sure the CT is that awesome on their way to purchase a CT.
I'd cut and past these screen for you myself but having trouble with that wouldn't even let me add a picture of a GTA3 pickup that seems to be the source for the Endurance.
