I bought a Tesla Model 3 in December 2020 and trade it in on a new Model 3 in March of this year. My wife is the primary driver on the Tesla, and it serves as our "family" car. I also bought a base Leaf in 2022, so I didn't have to drive my old gas hog GMC 2500 farm truck. You would be surprised how many farm supplies I can get in that Leaf. I just use the truck to get large supplies, to fill my diesel storage tank and occasional towing.Hey @Mesa, what did you upgrade to? Are you in a full EV now? It's very true that the Clarity is a "gateway" car. We've seen a few folks move up to full EVs from a Clarity.
That's great! I hope you enjoy it for another 4.5 years.Still have mine 4.5 years later and really enjoying most of it.

There were no particular challenges with the Clarity. Where we are located there is no cost advantage to using electricity v gas. We also lose 40-50% of EV range in winter which is at least 4 months long. It’s almost pointless to use electricity in winter and a long trip in a full EV during those months wouldn’t be a pleasant experience in my opinion. There’s also no longer an incentive to purchase an EV. Electric rates are increasing dramatically as we prepare for a more enjoyable life through AI. We still have a Jeep 4xe plug-in hybrid, however when the time comes to sell that vehicle we’ll most likely go with a conventional ICE vehicle or possibly a mild hybrid. What challenges did you have with the Clarity @Landshark that pushed you back to ICE?
