Fuel pump impeller

No more Hondas

Fed up with Honda. Recall since February. It's now October. Why can't Honda tell Denso to increase capacity to make more impellers .
Was in the market for a new SUV. Was considering the Pilot.
Not any more.

No one on this forum has reported a fuel-pump failure, but no one has reported they got the recall fuel-pump replacement, either. Honda would replace a broken fuel pump if it happened before the recall-replacement service took place.

Wouldn't a new Pilot have the new fuel-pump impeller?

Whatever happened to the Pilot PHEV seen in spy photos 5 years ago? Why has Honda abandoned PHEVs now that they're finally popular?

No part for me either yet. I got the app announcing it and I think 2 letters from Honda. It's been so long since first notified, now I worry I'll just forget about it. Or parts will arrive and I'll miss the recall timing.

I didn't know recalls expire, but they do. My Toyota Tundra had a recall and I didn't deal with it for 14 months. When I called to do it, they told me I missed the recall window of time. I believe that one had a year. But the point is you can miss the recall timing (or at least with Toyota I did).

I hoped the app would tell us when the recall repairs are actually beginning. Maybe it will, but I'm not counting on it. The members of this great forum will certainly let us know when the long-awaited supply of new fuel pumps start flowing.

I got my usps letter today. So I'll call my dealer on Monday. And yes, this forum is super-useful for stuff like not missing the recall.
I was also told by my Honda dealer that Honda does not expire recalls ever. That makes sense to me, and hope it is that way. Assuming true, maybe a reason to choose Honda as a brand.

Anyway, I'll report back but it looks like I can get the recall done (or at least scheduled) now.

I also received the recall letter this weekend. I called the dealer today. They don’t have the part in stock.

My dealer says he can get the part in just a day and I'm taking my Clarity in tomorrow. I and my buddy cruised around today to use most of the gasoline in the tank to make their job easier.
