Fast Charging on Thanksgiving in Connecticut

I'm traveling from Maryland to Massachusetts this Thanksgiving. I will be leaving the Baltimore area around 7 am on Thursday morning and want to arrive in Mass. sometime that afternoon. This is the first time I've ever planned to travel on Thanksgiving, so does anyone have any experience with availability of fast chargers along the Merritt Parkway in Connecticut? We're thinking of trying to use the Tesla CCS compatible fast chargers at Wegmans in Westchester County, NY, but I anticipate a huge line there as there always has been every time I have been to that charging station. We're looking for an alternative option in CT, so maybe Trumbull Mall or the Merritt Parkway rest areas?
If there's anyone who has travelled this route on Thanksgiving, how long is the wait to charge on Thanksgiving day? Or, is there usually no problem on Thursday?

I have a 2024 Chevy Equinox EV.

Not sure if it's too far up into CT for what you need, but there is a relatively new EA station conveniently off of I91 in Rocky Hill, CT. Six stations all functional.

I find PlugShare, now a Google package, is accurate and rapidly updated. Use the "KW" filter to identify the fast DC chargers and read the comments on the ones you might use. I also use it to find motels with free, overnight charging using the "KW" filter.

I don't use Waze because I thought it was all about traffic jams and speed traps. Worse, even holding my cell phone is a traffic ticket in Alabama. PlugShare is more of an offline, planning tool and really shouldn't be used by the driver. Pull over and then figure out what you need.

Yeah, it's too bad Tesla doesn't have Android Auto or Carplay. I know my son with his Tesla has his phone mounted so he can use Waze and other apps. Waze is esp useful in that everyone uses it and updates it to reflect up to the minute conditions, esp radar locations. I use Waze thru AA on both of my cars. Very good app, for everything, traffic, road hazards, cops, alternate routes, etc., and always up to date right to the minute.

Although not well known or documented, the Tesla navigation system will modify a direct route to avoid traffic backups. The two times I ignored the re-routing, I suffered through significant backups.

I understand there are AM or possibly FM traffic monitoring communications, slow digital, that share local traffic conditions. But I've been too lazy to research them.

Yes, Tesla has it, but my son uses Waze instead as it is more real time updated, which is very important in rush hour traffic. Tesla alternates are OK for major construction reroutes, but not real time enough for heavy rush hour traffic and accidents.
