The level 1 emergency EVSE has stopped working for my car. Not a big deal because I have level 2 at the house. I was curious if anyone knows the best way to dispose of an unusable EVSE. Thanks in advance!

It's just E-waste. If your community has E-waste collection site, take it there. If you don't know, contact you waste disposal company.

Check with a local EV Facebook group. You might find someone like me there. The cable and connectors have a value.

I put the brand new hood-scooped hood from my MINI Cooper SE on ebay for $1. It didn't sell. Perhaps if I had offered free shipping...

My last batch of e-waste went to a local Staples. Check with yours, not all locations can accept it.
