EV-only on the freeway.... Bad?

May I suggest, ignore all settings, let the car figure out.
My situation is the opposite, I have no charge many times and when I put the car in HV explicitly it drives with more noise (for Clarity) pick up is less responsive, but if I let the car decide, it’s more smoother the power blending is much nicer even at 2 bars battery.

Speaking of free charging, is there a website that maps out free charging locations that doesn't require pay parking? I haven't found one. Is there a thread on this?

I'm still new at this, but ChargePoint seemed to work fine for me (Sacramento, CA). Just finished my first free charge (1 hour), no problems. The really free charge stations seem to be at county or state gov offices.

One very minor disadvantage of having such a small tank is that I don't have time to finish cleaning my windshield before the pump turns off ;-)

A second slight disadvantage - for me - is that my $1.00 off per gallon reward (up to 25 gallons) only uses about $6 per fill-up, sometimes less. The reward doesn't roll over ;…^(

Chargepoint can filter by paid or free stations (or both).

The honda link app also has the "find charging station" link. It showed that the yuma city hall had a one. Its free also. Of course i also can charge (level 1) at work. If the battery is at 50% then ot takes about 6hrs for level 1 charge.

I live in the high desert outside of Los Angeles and drive to Burbank daily. I’m at 2400’ elevation and I travel through the hills to about 800’ elevation in Burbank. The distance is 65 miles and because it a lot of downhill, I can almost go 65 miles in EV mode. On my way up the hill I can get 2/3rds of the way home before the ICE kicks in. Rangewise it’s been great, I did notice that when I climb the hills in HV mode it does struggle, in EV mode it does fine. So I’m able to do 80% of my 130 mile commute in EV mode, not bad. I charge both at work and at home.

There are free chargers at Arden Fair and at the new Delta Shores shopping area in South Sac.

Thank! Also, I found out the Red Hawk Casino has 10 chargers available now. The trip to the casino was a bit of a concern, since we have a 70 mile round trip, figured we'd have to use some gas. But with the chargers, probably not!
