I have speculated about getting an EV bike or skateboard to carry on my Tesla for short, 2-3 mile radius, from home and on trips. Often enough I want to keep the Tesla charging on a slow, free charger but also have other short range options. This video convinced me to carry any EV micro mobility device EXTERNAL, not in the trunk or back seat. Fortunately, I install 2" receivers on my cars (a cheap trailer makes it more flexible than a pickup) and it can easily carry the micro mobility device behind the rear bumper.
The same risks are with any vehicle including Prius, ICE, and other modes of transportation.
