Embarrasingly short level one charger. WTF Honda!?

I'll measure the Honda EVSE when I return home tomorrow and we can have a quantitative comparison.
All I had was a cheapo 99 cent store measuring tape till I get back to work on Monday, but till then a Google search revealed 25 feet, don't know if that includes the brick which is around 15-20". Let me know your findings.

We respond in an attempt to assist other owners. If you’re just going to b!tch about easily solved problems and insult other owners, your future on this forum may be devoid of helpful advice.

If you take a breath and flatter us by reading some of our posts, you’ll discover that we’ve all been critical of the car, and some of Honda’s decisions, in one way or another. Like anything, the car has both desirable and undesirable features.

I don’t believe any of us are as enamored with the car as you appear to be with all things GM. So, cool your jets until GM poops out your dream car and we’ll see how we can assist you, until then, with your Clarity.

And read the manual.
I'm not saying GM doesn't have faults, they def do, just pointing out what it did right compared to Honda and I've also made my point that I like this car for things GM got wrong. I'm just surprised how easily triggered some of these snowflakes are in this forum if you in any way criticize this car.

If I didn't like this car I wouldn't have spent in the last week almost $1500 getting everything tinted in Xpel Ceramic AR, purchased a leather steering wheel, brand new 3d floor mats, getting the rims repaired/painted, detailing the entire car including paint correction, and any future upgrades. I don't invest in anything I don't believe in or like.

My, my. What you did is a Commiefornia felony. Electronic stuff is not allowed to go to the landfill. It must be taken to an e-waste disposal site. Don't ever let them know your address, they will come in the night to arrest you.
LMAO, right, I can't wait to get out of this liberal hell hole!

I am sure you can throw anything you own in the garbage can if you like (as long as you get them properly sorted and put in the right trash/recycle bin. I am not sure what you are trying to say. Do you have the right to throw you own cable? I don't think anyone is stopping you (one forum member asked if he/she could get it from you instead of seeing a good product wasted in a landfill. but that's about it). People are just saying it's foolish. You are entitled to your opinion about Honda EVSE. When you post on a public forum, people can respond and are entitled to theirs. It's that simple. Now take a deep breath, walk away from the forum for a day and enjoy the beautiful season and time with your important family members. Cheers!
The Honda cable is useless to me and I didn't want to take any more effort than walking over to my garbage and dropping it in there. I didn't feel like posting it online, dealing with wrapping it up and shipping it, or have some weirdo come over to my house to pick it up.

Irresponsible for throwing my own property away? This isn't China dude, I can do whatever I want with things I own.

Nice try. Just because it's your property doesn't mean you can throw it in the trash. I'm guessing you toss paint cans in there as well. What a terrible attitude.

I'm going to check and see if I can block users here. If so, you will be in that list. I can't imagine anyone wanting to post with you and your lousy outlook.

If anyone else has had enough of this person go to your account settings and put his user name in the ignore list.

For the record, the Honda OEM EVSE has an overall length if 17 feet.
On the J1772 end, it is 15', and then there is an additional 2' (counting the brick) on the end that plugs into the wall.

Last time I checked, there was some left over Chinese food on top of the Honda EVSE this morning before the garbage man picked up my trash so yes I was able to actually throw it in the trash. Sorry it doesn't align with your hippy mentality and no I don't throw paint in the garbage, it goes down the sink since it's a liquid.

Hi all. I've edited out some insults and removed some posts in this thread. Please don't insult other members.

Some of what is left is still more snippy than we'd like. Our members come from all different backgrounds and have different political beliefs. Because of this difference in perspectives, we have differences of opinion and that's fine. It would be nice, though, if we could not disparage large portions of our membership because of their political affiliations/beliefs. So, please, let's avoid expressions like liberal loons/conservative whack jobs, etc.

We're here to talk about our plug-in cars and our ownership experiences. There are lots of other places on the internet to grind our political axes.

And again, I'm not saying we can't bring our political or worldview into arguments, that's totally natural and acceptable. Just please refrain from insulting entire swaths of the membership who may have different political beliefs and world views.

I hope you all feel this is reasonable. Thanks for reading.
