How many of you have seen another e-Niro out and about? I have collected three so far (but no pics yet..) .
I plan to be faster to snap a pic in future.
- One in the parking lot at the Y (pearl white like mine),
- One I have seen twice on the same stretch of road during my morning commute (either black or gravity blue... who can tell the difference?)
- I saw one driving on 101 south a week ago. Aluminum gray.
Let's post our sightings of this still rare car(*) here.
(*)About 1600 sold in the United States at the end of January 2020, based on the methodology in this thread.
I have seen a few more out on the roads, but I suppose it will be easier to find them in CA.
I saw a graphite today on Central expressway heading south east near Rengstorff. Did not get a picture though. Youngish fellow (30s maybe...hard to be sure at a distance through a couple of layers of glass), balding a bit with glasses and a beard behind the wheel
Same here on both counts. The few extra inches does not look like much on paper, but when I looked at both in person, wow, what a difference.really like the Kona EV colors better, but needed the extra space of the Niro.
Had a meetup event with our local EV club tonight and got to park my Niro next to a Kona.
Yeah, seeing a regular (ICE) Kona at an autoshow, we knew we had to opt for the Niro EV for the back seat space (both myself and my husband are taller which would mean folks in the back would have to pretzel up to ride with us if we had went for the Kona). Add to it that we wanted a heat pump (and we weren't finding many Kona with that package) plus some Hyundai dealerships were telling us they wouldn't sell to out of state and it just all added up to us going for the Niro. Thanks for the share! (like your vanity plate, btw. Spectacular pun!) I have never been interested in car aesthetics as much as practicality. My main reason for going Niro over Kona was the extra few inches in the cargo space made a startling difference when I saw them in person.
For some reason this picture brings the aesthetics up for me. Except for the color options, I think I like the look of the Niro more, but I also see how it is a different look, and some might like the Kona's sporty hatchback look more than the mini cross-over look.
Well, there certainly are no Niro EVs in central Virginia, not at least that I've seen. Still standing out, and hoping someone asks me about my car.![]()
