As my driving is 2-4 miles a day I find out with my 80 miles driving for past 10 days my SE is doing 130-140 miles my trip is 40 mile’s each way and I charge a car at night to 100%and coming home I still have 60 miles left in my tank what a surprise? .I don’t use any charging station only my L2 in garage.

The Mini excels at the slower speeds experienced during city driving. I can get 125 miles cruising down the Thruway. I’m not surprised you get this kind of range in and around The City.

Enjoy!

That's pretty much exactly what I drive too, and I'm getting close to 150 miles range doing mostly freeway driving (65+ mph, summer). Yesterday I drove 86 miles and had 45% SoC when I got home, for a total range of 156 miles.

Just wish I could count on the kind of range you are getting. Where I live, weekend day trips of 50-60 miles each way are typical and charging is not reliable. That plus the uncertainty about the rebate Les me to cancel my SE order and lease a new ICE MINI instead.

This is so crazy to me. We drive 99% rural at 65mph or slower and have never gotten over 100 miles of range. It usually shows 104 or so when max charged.

Learn one pedal driving don’t use brakes only when necessary ,check a tire pressure, what I experience more I’m driving my milage get better,my full charge showing 112 miles and for first 15-20 miles stay that way than gradually is going down but I’m doing 130 miles any way and a conditions in NY I’m going 60 m/ hr stop in traffic all the time driving fast few miles and stop again .What you describe your driving conditions you should put 150 miles as one member achieved on daily driving in summer with 40000 miles on 2020 SE .I’m driving in Sport mode and high regen. Also if car is new you get there when you put more miles and battery adjust to full performance.

Sorry to hear we lost one of early pioneers driving Mini Cooper SE and EV

We do one pedal driving with full regen on. We don't usually run it below about 40 miles before charging again so maybe it would adjust to show more range if we were running it lower.

That car have a buffer 10% to full charge and the low charge to me makes no difference how you charge but we have more sophisticated members on a forum maybe they give you more educated answers. But charging my I 3 for 6 years with battery of 60Ah as SE 94 AH I still was able drive a car 75 miles when factory was setting was 84 miles on full charge .I believe you get to 130 miles on full charge soon.

The GOM is the same way for me, always too pessimistic. I use @GvilleGuy's SE Range Calculator. Here's the recorded values from my commute (note GOM said I had 47 miles left but math said 70 miles):

***********************************
Sep 1, 2022 at 17:50 ** 84.2°F ** Wind: 8.078 mph from S ** Humidity: 55% ** Driven: 86 Mi ** Start-Batt: 100% ** End-Batt: 45% ** Mi / kWh: 5.41 ** GOM Reading: 47 Mi ** Range Left: 70.36 Mi ** Total Range (From 100% charge): 156.36 Mi ** Total Range (From 100% charge): 156.349 Mi

Notes on how I drive when getting this kind of range:
  • I drive in mid mode, with A/C on.
  • I accelerate fairly aggressively to get up to speed in short time.
  • I use the cruise control as much as possible (I do not have ACC).
  • For braking I mostly disengage the cruise control with the button, which lets the regenerative braking kick in right away.

Our Mini typically reads around 109 miles when 100% charged despite the fact we get 150-160 miles of range in normal use so despite what people think it does not learn your driving style.
All you can depend on is your trip meter and percentage remaining display. You have to calculate your range, the car range estimation is utterly useless.

As old dud being conservative I never push a car limit my trips with SE are always below 100 miles to get home without charging on a road and I never was out of charge with my I3 for 6 years.
