Suspect it is too late for BMW, but after Diesel Gate, VW is now headed by possibly the only person from BMW c-suit who was able to get it, Herb Diess. Seems like VW may survive. When the VW head said they have to avoid becoming Nokia that presents a ray of hope that they may turn the company around in time. More positive on Daimler than BMW because at least Daimler halted ICE development and actually bought in to Tesla when it was an upstart pure BEV play maker. If things don't go well with VW no one will be able to blame its CEO.
