Delivery Stories

A couple of questions-
1. Do the cars have puddle lights?
2. Can you change the color of the MINI on the display?

1. Yes. This should be more apparent when you open the door at night/in a darker environment.
2. Not as a user-selectable option, no. When you change the drive modes, a different-colored MINI will be shown on the Central Information Display along with the notification of which drive mode you selected. The MINI shown on the instrument cluster does not change colors on my 2021 model.

Do all SEs have the puddle lights?

Picked up my MINI yesterday from the dealership! Ordered early September, tracked its progress daily until it left the UK port, then spent the next few weeks waffling on whether or not I really wanted to go through with the purchase. Ended up saying yes, accidentally-on-purpose got lost on my way home from the dealership, and drove about 50 miles with 70% battery remaining. Really loving the moonroof and all the whirbling trill noises (a friend recommended I make sure there wasn't an infestation of tribbles under the hood).

As mentioned by others the “garage” site updates are confusing as they only showing one port. I found out my car is still on the water. Its on vessel hoegh trapper and expected into Baltimore on 11/26. I am hoping it can get to Chicago dealer in 2021.

Join the club! Great update, last I checked, I thought it was arriving the 27th! I’m in Columbus, probably be on the same truck out… here’s hoping it’s a short layover in the port!

Hi all. Newbie to the forum after lurking for a month or so. I’m in Scotland in the UK and I ordered my enigmatic black level 3 Mini Electric on the 9th of October. My dealer said that they didn’t expect to even get a build number until January as the factory weren’t building any more UK models this year, with delivery expected late March or April. I loved the car from the test drive so I had to accept it and just wait it out. I didn’t expect to hear from the dealer until January but as it turns out my dealer emailed me a couple of weeks ago with a build number which is said to be starting week 4 2022, with delivery expected week 7 (around mid Feb). Unfortunately we don’t have the same system you guys in the states have so I can’t track my build myself, I’m reliant on dealer updates, but so far they’ve been great on the communication front. I’ll just have to continue waiting, reading what you guys have experienced on this forum and watching every Mini Cooper SE/electric video on YouTube until I get my hands on my own SE!

Me: “Do you have any cars on the lot?”

Dealer: “No, we have no inventory. It’s all on order.”

Me: “Exactly. So you have nothing to do all day but track my build and give me updates, right?”

Haha! It worked!

Unfortunately, I think that's the same reason some buyers are getting stuck with high-margin extra add-ons that they don't want. The dealer can say, "sure, we understand you don't want the car. We have buyers stacked up in a holding pattern to buy it."

The original SE I ordered (but abandoned for the correct roof color I wanted) sold in a couple of hours, according to the MA.

He said the dealership was hoping I'd back out if the one I picked up bc I only paid the flat MSRP.

Mine comes with the wireless charger but by all accounts it doesn’t accommodate the iPhone 13 pro max so I won’t be able to use mine unless I switch to a smaller model iPhone, which is unlikely.
