I visited my dealership this afternoon, unannounced.
There were at least eight SEs in the back lot and on display out front, but no Island Blues like mine; I was told they received around 30 over the course of about two weeks, after receiving none in June.
My MA is on his honeymoon so I likely won’t see him again. The Sales Assistant, however, is on the ball and has been able to look up the answers to all my questions. According to her, my car is on the train from Halifax today — it only landed there on Tuesday the 16th! — and it will arrive at CN Autoport in Montreal (St-Laurent) tomorrow. It has already “been released” so it won’t be held up at the yard, and should be at the dealership Monday, maybe Tuesday, latest Wednesday. She assured me that if they get the car by mid week, they will do everything they can to have it delivered by month end, Friday, or alas the following Monday. Having sold new cars in a former life, I know they get flak if it misses month-end.
As far as the tint goes, I was assured that I’ll be getting the exact product I requested (Xpel Prime XR Plus) at the price he quoted (which seemed pretty low for their top-shelf tint on all four sides and the pano roof).
The dealership is closed weekends, so I’ll likely pick it up Tuesday August 2nd if it’s ready. So… a week or ten days… jeez.

Would you mind sharing the cost of the window tints? That’s next on my list! The one I did get on the Wet coast was $1200. Ouch!

An indy shop quoted me $1000 plus tax for all four sides and the pano roof with Autobahn Ceramic i3 everywhere but the windscreen, Ceramic Air up front. The dealership F&I guy quoted $737 plus tax for the same coverage with the Xpel Prime XR Plus (also a “ceramic” film).

Just noticed on the Canadian MINI site (while I was checking if the 3.99 APR financing program was still being offered as when I signed way back in March) that there are indeed now just two trim levels: Premier 2.0 and Premier+ 2.0, and the heated steering wheel is a $325 option on both.

Awesome . That’s the most protection it has had since it left the factory! Did you get 2 chargers?Took delivery of our Mini today [emoji170]. Didn’t get to keep it very long as had to drop it off for PPF, ceramic coat and window tinting. We’ll pick it up again tomorrow and then drive it home (3 hours/ 289 kms). So far it was awesome. Had 11 kms on it at delivery.

Only 1 charger. I didn’t get a chance to open up the bag it was in but seems pretty bulky so assuming it’s the Level 2 Flex chargers. Will post more once we have the car back from PPF.

The flex charger would have been in a white box, in the box is the black bag. The 120v charger would be under the floor board in the back, did you get a chance to check under there?

We looked under and did not see a Level 1 charger like the one we saw in a demo prior to ordering. I suspect they took the Flex charger out of the box during PDI and put it in its carry bag.

Interesting... My dealer sent me a picture of the white box in the back of my car before I got it and I was happy to see I got both when I lifted the board. I just carry the 120v in the back for emergencies but I will most likely never use it. I put it in the black bag that came with the flex charger. The flex charger can be used for both 120 and 240v so good thing you got that one instead of just the 120v.
Your car is really nice! I really thought hard about getting the Island Blue color with the black top and mirrors. My cars are typically black, gray, or silver (yes, I am pretty boring when it comes to color) so I stayed in my comfort zone and opted for Moonwalk Grey.
