Mini said mine was at the port 5/16. My garage said 5/17. It was quick from entering assembly line to ready for transport. maybe 3 days.

No, just curious how far apart the vins are for one ship. I realize they dont all come to Oxnard. More out of curiosity of how the system works. I am something of a frustrated engineer. I like to figure out how things work. I read somewhere that Porsche for sure, and other companies would have someone walk down the assembly line and point to a car. That one is this years model, and the one after it is next years model. I had a '85 RX-7 that was made a month before my buddies '84 300ZX. We had fun making bets, then explaining that to friends at a bar. "My car is an 85, his is an 84, which is older?" Wanna bet? You lose, lets look at the VIN on the door sill.

I actually got off the call with mini and ask if the person that I talk to know how vessels are being assigned and she said she doesn’t know :( all she knew was my car was at the port since 5/18.

That is crazy how an 85 car made before the 84? Well, I know my Vin is certainly after both of you.

I just love this group that people really dig deep down into the process, which makes this tracking process fun (as well as a bit stressful like I do now). I wish I am a engineer too! I love numbers and playing with data but they are in form of excel spreadsheet [emoji23]

You are right about the group here! I know we are all impatient and want our cars but at least we have others have are in the same situation. It makes the wait more fun for sure and is highly informative. I ordered my current Mini (a 2019 Cooper S) and I did not track it at all. The dealer said 12 weeks so I just planned the return of a lease and their estimate was spot on. Returned the leased car, Uber’ed to the Mini dealer with my son and picked up my car. I modify everything I own so all of my parts we waiting for the car to show up. With my SE, the wheels and tires from my current Mini will carry over but I ordered KW coil overs for the SE. They should be delivered in a few days.
 
I hadn't realized it seems my SE may have a sibling on it's journey to my dealer via the spreadsheet. Who's "Brambleton4ever"? Hadn't seen them active on here, but their Resolute seems to be on the ride with mine per the sheet.
 
Found out mine finally left port as well. Knowing it is now built makes the waiting even harder now. To me it's odd that CO cars are going to CA vs a port down south, that is a much longer boat ride, having to go though the cannel.
Side note I have not heard a peep from my dealer, Mini of Loveland. So if you are reading this in the future and deciding between Mini of Loveland and Schomp it's something to consider. Could just be my Advisor.
 
Mini says my signature is at the port in Brunswick. Expected to delivered to dealer on 6/5. Very close now. Placed deposit 2/27/22. Order placed 3/2/22. Received Production number 4/11/22.So just about 3 months from order to delivery...which incidentally is what he told me in the beginning.
 
I texted my aloof MA today, hoping to get an update of “Status 195” which would indicate that my SE left Southampton on Monday aboard Morning Caroline, but alas, he promptly replied, “Hello, the news is that an ETA has been determined : 7/6/2022.” I asked if that’s July 6 and he confirmed it. That’s a thousand bucks of government rebate money out the window by just a week (the Quebec BEV incentive drops from $8000 to $7000 on cars delivered after June 30).

for me, i totally gave up the state rebate
i was filtered out of california rebate since 02/28/2022

We gave up a $3,000 BC rebate since we ordered our car from Alberta (3 hour drive). The closest BC dealer (7 hour drive) required a trade-in to place an order for us. We were able to sell our trade-in for $10,000 more then they offered so was worth giving up the rebate. Hopefully they’re being conservative on your delivery date but no matter what you’ll be happy with your car even if it costs $1000 more.
 
So close, yet so far…These lasts few steps are the most painful...my car arrived at Port Hueneme on 4/25 and was released to the carrier on 4/28...it's still sitting at the VDC as far as I know...It’s bound to show up eventually…6/13 is the 3 month mark, so still pretty good for a west coast delivery.

That is ridiculous! More than 5 weeks at the VDC means something is seriously wrong. Have you tried contacting the Mini genius line to inquire what the deal is?

Also, just learned the Tijuca appears to have been delayed. It is now scheduled to make a call in Southhampton on 6/5 (was 6/2) which moves its arrival at P/H to 6/29. Hopefully my car makes that sailing. Otherwise the next one is the Sagittarius Leader sailing on 6/9 for a 6/30 arrival.
