Looks like the 2023 will be the same as the 2022, at least the gasoline ones. https://www.miniusa.com/model/hardtop.html
The website is starting to add 2023 info. Like n tri tone roof available with other cars, and the link that doesn't yet work for more colors. What I like is the following:
You’ll notice the MINI Hardtop 2 Door distinguishes itself from the rest with its sleek Piano Black Exterior. We went all Piano Black everything, including the door handles, front "wings", fuel filler cap, grille blade, side scuttle, taillight rings, model badge, headlight rings, rear “wings”, and tailpipe finisher.
That's half of what my wife wanted. Now if they offer a blue, or if not, don't get rid of the moonwalk grey she will be very happy.

Funny, this would be why MINI my way options were great...I'm a bit of a chrom-o-phobe, and love the blacked out options. But with a moonwalk gray and the chrome belt line I went with the Roulette wheels because I didn't want TOTAL monochrome. If I had the option to pick blue I would've gone with that + black wheels. To each their own!

And it isn’t like they made it better. You could to the piano black on the 2022 as a free option. They just took away one of the options

Hmm, looks like 500$ bump on the base from 2022-2023. I put in a reservation this weekend for the EV and dealer said the same thing mentioned here, they stopped building 2022. He said he would order the 2023 model as soon as they are open. But I dont like this 500$ bump. I might cancel if that turns out to be the case. The dealer is already charging 500$ for "Prep Fees"

Wait, there's something missing from this list. To make it truly "Piano Black everything," will owners still have to cough up another $605 to get MINI's black waistline trim kit? My imagination falls short when I try to come up with reasons why MINI leaves this one element chrome when they black out the rest of the trim. Do they think people don't want all the trim to match? I'm sure the black waistline trim wouldn't increase the car's manufacturing cost by $605.

Agreed, seemed like a weird thing to eliminate for black options. Honestly I don't care, just want to get Uncle Larry here, and if my choices make it work then great. I've looked at some wheel options to bring it to my highest expectation, but at this point I'm not really sweating it. I just hate the inevitable failure of wrapping to tone down the chrome belt. So I'm just working with it! ;)

We were under the impression that to get the piano black exterior you had to go iconic. it wasnt a stand alone option. We were at the dealer on the miniusa site with our salesman. He thought it was an easy switch too, before we went on line.

We are going for moonwalk/moonwalk, sig plus, leather and pedal spokes. I just showed my wife the island blue in a non electric, on the website, and she drove the island blue last August and liked it, but we didnt want the special edition stripes. So, if they offer a blue it will be blue/blue, sig plus, leather and pedal spokes. She has spoken!

Electric Collection is a Sig+ with Island Blue or Rooftop Grey as color options. Or do you not like the hood and door stripes, and multi-color roof on the Electric Collection?

I don't want the electric collection. that's why I'm hoping they add blue for 2023. The top of the 2023 hardtop web page has a future link for additional colors. I don't like the signature roof or stripes. Also, I don't want to spend that much.

I am ambivalent about the piano black v chrome. She sees the difference, and she has a degree from "Music & Art." But other details like the collection stripes, and lumbar only in iconic bug me.

My Uk level 3 mini was ordered in November and is due the end of March. I have been told my original colour midnight black has been changed to midnight black 2.
I wonder how detailed MINI's cost-analysis was that prompted the company to make the switch? How many extra MINI Coopers do they think the new Midnight Black 2 will sell? Or is there a global shortage of a key ingredient used in the old Midnight Black paint?

Is Midnight Black 2 blacker than the old Midnight Black? Does it make one want to wash their MINI Cooper again just 3 minutes after they wash it instead of the old 5 minutes? Maybe it's really, really black like this amazing Vantablack-painted Olympics venue South Korea built in 2018.

The end of March can't come soon enough, but at least you don't have to worry about the additional time for your MINI Cooper SE to make an ocean voyage. I hope you can eventually show us a photo of your SE next to an old-fashioned Midnight Black MINI Cooper.

A vanta black Mini would be great for those who love the blackout look. Just needs some yellow mirror caps to provide contrast :)

Maybe the Midnight black 2 is from another supplier who were marginally cheaper than their supplier of last year?

My dealer just called to confirm ‘23 model year changes.

Island Blue now available on Sig+ and Iconic, along with the 3 new multi-tone roofs. Also a brown seat option. Flex/Turbo charge is now standard too.

No price increase either which is nice.
Whats flex/turbo charge?

That puts the cork in the bottle for us. She likes the black hood stripe from the factory. That means the $300 of custom made gray/black & red stripes for the hood and rockers that are still in the shipping tube will be sold when the car arrives.

They wont work on my cobalt blue Cayman. Maybe on my silver 1er? Hmmm.
