ChargePoint new "Service Fee"

IDK how rates compare in other areas of the US, but in the PNW...all of the networks are already vastly overcharging for the electricity provided.
As far as I'm concerned, they can take whatever "service" fees they need out of that massive profit margin, before adding even more costs to their shitty services.

It's bad enough that I'm already being charged 5x the cost of electrons, without adding another $1 to every plug in. Especially since we all know the stations won't see any maintenance, much less improvements, from this money.

We have 2 DCFC in town ...one ChargePoint at 40 cents/kWh (peak power 120kW) another by Francis Electric at 66cents/kWh (though its peak is 350kW). So people not in a hurry tend to use the CP and with $1 plug in charge ...it is still way cheaper than the competition.

so, 50 cents to $1 increase per connect. Why don't they just raise rates by a penny and no one would ever care/notice.
The service fee also applies to free charging, which some businesses provide. Can't really add a penny to that scenario. Most of my public charging is done at grocery stores that provide free charging. I'm not excited about the service charge, but I'd like to think it will help with the maintenance of the chargers. Who am I kidding, I doubt anything will change.
