We purchase a 2026 Solterra Tech today. We take delivery Saturday AM. We test drove it today and were very impressed. My wife particularly liked the rectangle steering wheel because it enabled her to see more of the displays. We went with the Tech as it has the radiant heater (which we will maybe use 3 days a year up here in the interior) as well as the normal heat pump, which today seemed more powerful than our Kona one.
The Canadian version (at least right now) does not come with a granny charger or CCS or J adapters so I order the J adapter from Grizzl-e (who makes our L2 charger) and the A2Z CCS to NACS adapter, which is currently on Black Friday sale on their web site. The instruction manual is 2 inches thick, so there is lots of reading to do. Our daughter with the 2025 Forrester with help us with the Subaru way.

Congrats on the new car. I've had my 2023 for almost 3 years now. It has been great for me, esp for off-road to our cabin. The slow fast DC charging is not an issue for me, as I have another EV (Ioniq 6) that we use for longer road trips. Don't have the radiant heater, and not sure why it is needed. We have been in really cold winter weather with it here in BC and going up into the mountains, but the normal heater has always worked well to keep us warm.

You should have got a granny charger with the car. We did, and others that I know did. Are you sure it isn't hidden somewhere? There are hidden storage areas in the back.

No apparently in Canada the 2026 does not come with a granny charger although it does in the US. It's not really an issue. The one that came with the Kona has not come out the trunk since we put in a L2 charger in the garage 2 years ago. Our normal routes have lots of CCS & NACS L3's, so the CCS to NACS adapter is important for that as well as the J to NACS adapter which we need for our garage as well as our daughters place in Vancouver
