BMW high power charging working for NACS CCS1 adapter at TSCN

I'm venting. I had a letter a year ago from Mini, strongly implying that I'd get SC access this year. I've spent $200 on an adaptor thats 'supports' Minis, it now appears that SC access was all horseshit.
So sue them. I think we talked here last year and many of us had a feeling we would not get access due to older platform and charging speeds. However remained positive. You should have held off on buying an adapter until it was confirmed working.

It’s possible Tesla had backlash because of Chevy Bolts clogging the place up.

The SE DC charges way, way faster than Bolts do. I'm rarely at a dcfc more than 30 minutes. Hell I'm rarely at a dcfc as long as the majority of EVs... The SE charging speed should be well known.

I just called Mini. They confirmed that the F56 is not currently supported by superchargers. They do not have any idea when or even if it will be enabled.
So not a completely closed issue, and I did read the FAQ answer as "currently not supported." Not that I'm holding my breath, but maybe they'll work out a solution eventually. Seems reasonable to get the current models up and running first. You know, the models that aren't shipping in most of North America.

By the way, is Mexico adopting NACS? They do have the J01 and J05 (Aceman) available.

Went to a 32 stall SC yesterday to try out our ID4. It was more than half full and had exactly 0 evs aside from Teslas. Certainly not proof, but I'm guessing most Bolt owners do not know they have SC access. My daughters Bolt has never been to a SC despite the Nacs adapter I bought here last Christmas.
I'd guess it has more to do with the protocol difference and not wanting to spend time and money to support the relatively rare SE

Mexico uses CCS1 and NACS

Your adapter isn’t totally worthless. Many other CPOs, such as IONNA, are adding NACS plugs to their chargers, so you’ll at least be able to utilize those plugs at those stations in the event all the other CCS plugs are in use

I've saw one at an EVgo a few years back.
