Not that I'm old school but up to now I've been using a good old notepad to keep track of fill-ups and service. At one point I may or may have not put them on a spreadsheet.

So, what's the best app or apps out there or what everyone is currently using to keep track of this?

TIA...

PHEVs don't track well in traditional MPG tools. Spreadsheet or a physical notepad is easiest. For the Clarity PHEV I just mark down all my fill ups, long trips on the highway I will calculate MPG (where I have steady charge level between fill ups). I also track how many kWh of electricity I put in (My Chargepoint Home indicates monthly usage, as well as per charge, I only look at monthly). This way I have a total kWh and total Gallons of gas put into my car. This gives me my total cost to operate the car. I was going to do a blog entry on this in the next few days.

I’m doing the bulk of my charging at free public stations so I’m simply tracking how many hours I charge at home. This month, 90 hours of charging at .13 per hour = about $11 my cost, plus 2 gallons of gas, means I’ve driven 1100+ miles for $17. Pretty amazing.

I use acar app. It allows me to put the super high milage I get between fill ups.im at 1300+ with more then half a tank. I charge at home 85% of time but we have a low cost of electricity. Either 11 or 6 cents per khwt. Soe electric bill hasn't went sky high. Another website I found was mpge and it will calculate the equivalent of gas for electric use.

I think your best bet is to use a kill a watt type to track your level 1 charging if you don't have a charger installed with logging, then just set up a spreadsheet on Google drive and track it that way.

I was looking at the Nav in my clarity and under routs there is an option for green route. When you click on it (touring model) there is a place to enter info for calclating fuel economy and selecting the best route for your vehicle. Im not well schooled in in yet but worth a look at.

Recording start and stop times and start and stop % (as reported by the HL app) in Google Sheets. Not done anything with the data yet.

Use plugshare.com for initial search. Then, if you find one there you want to use and it is identified as part of a network, then retrieve that network's app if your investigation of the network reveals that their app is necessary to use their EVSE.

The honda link app found a free station near me. Plug share also worked out. O haven't had much success with charge point in my area.

The green friendly grocery stores near me have ChargePoint for free charge (Whole Foods and Native Sun for example) and ChargePoint has an app to help identify some locations.
