Autoline review of EV sales

I have to wonder if the inventory issue is due to them waiting to fix the 2022 ID4 model before shipping to the dealers. So maybe this is just a temporary issue.

There is no contest here in Washington state. Tesla is taking 4 our of the 10 top BEV sales for the first six months of 2022.

No one is even close to Tesla even with the massive Tesla price increases. However, it looks like the sales of the Model Y are slowing a lot.

I think Hyundai would be the leader if they could get meet the customer demand. Tesla has that spot now because they can still deliver. That's where Musk's vertical integration strategy is paying off big time. But their old models are getting a little boring now, and don't see a lot of new ones on the horizon.

Hyundai keeps upping the bar both in technology/features and diversity of different model types to broaden customer interest and appeal. Toyota may be far behind at the moment, but looking at their concepts and new models coming, they will also be a major EV force in the not too distant future. In the long run, I think it will be between Hyundai and Toyota who wins the race. GM will be in there, but they still have major business structural challenges going forward that will hold them back. The Germans will be hit with their current worsening economical issues which will ultimately make their vehicles less competitive.

A seven seat, Model X plaid would be a nice ride. Tesla changes are mostly inside the sheet metal art and downloaded to earlier buyers.
