This is a real dumb question! We had a level two charger installed in the garage, I wanted to mount the charger with the one that came with the MINI but the way the charger plugs in, the bracket which would attach to the mount, faces outside…..how do I twist it? Like I said, dumb question.
I took the L2 part off but doesn’t look any other way to connect
the main part - that shows the light- faces front. As you can tell, I don’t know the correct terms! LOL!

Not knowing your electrical back round, I hesitate to explain it here. But what one would do is open the EVSE case, loosen the cable strain clamp and rotate the cable while making sure not to cause a wire stain or possible future short. That's why opening the case is important.

Does it hurt just to twist the cable?

I didn't realize that Mustart had gone to Travelmaster (Gen II) from the original Travel. But they still have the optional cord plugsas seen here;

• CHARGE AT ANY PLUG OUTLET, ANYWHERE, ANYTIME: The TRAVELMASTER with SAE J1772 connector is able to charge almost all electric cars. It comes with two adapting plugs as standard. The NEMA 14-50 adapting plug can be used to quickly charge your vehicle at a 32Amp outlet. You can also connect this portable ev charger to a domestic NEMA 5-15 outlet in an emergency. The optional adapting plugs for NEMA 6-20, NEMA 10-30, NEMA 14-40, NEMA 6-50 and NEMA 10-50 outlets give you unlimited use of any socket.

The NEMA 10-30 is common in RV parks.

That's exactly why I hesitated. You may cause internal shorting or terminal breakage if you don't open it and make sure the sires inside have enough length for the twist. The cord retainer is just a plastic finger Ferrel under the nut. But I noticed that they also had a strain relief sleeve inside that. It may also have a shoulder on that sleeve.

Not sure that will be possible (or at least easy to do) if that's the MINI Flexible Fast Charger. It's actually a socket on the EVSE, and the grey cable is an adapter cord that plugs into it. The socket might be fixed in place and not rotatable.

That’s what it is but you can twist a little. We just won’t mount it.

Are you sure the adapter cable with the NEMA 14-50 plug is plugged into the charge brick right? I would expect the display to face outward when it is plugged in.

Those cables are quite flexible once you charge a car they get a little hot at that point after car is charged try to turn a cable 180 ‘ to face up to show a face of a charger is nothing going to happen don’t unplug a 14-50 plug at that point and you can put a strap against a wall to keep a crab face you to see what is going on a charger two plastic plugs /screws and a strap to hold a sucker on a wall face you .

I appreciate all the replies and artwork! What a great group this is! I think we are just going to keep it sitting on one of the storage containers.

I feel like it was an engineering mistake. It's clearly made to mount on the wall and you clearly need to see the colors (they have different meanings) while it's charging. I ended up mounting mine with a garage storage system that I already had. The wire does have a twist on it, but it's not extreme. Hasn't affected anything thus far and is working well.
