Apple Carplay in F56! Battery status?

2023 MINI Cooper SE F56 LCI2
In our Mini I cannot see the battery status of my iPhone (air) in the Mini screen with Apple Carplay. Very irritating to not see the phones SoC, and if its charging or not.

I can see that other iPhones can show it in other cars screens with Apple Carplay:

Is this a limitation in the F56 Carplay implementation, or is it a setting in the Mini or in the iPhone that I have missed?

How does the Carplay screen look for others here in your F56 Minis (please post example)?

On both my 2018 Honda Clarity PHEV and my 2023 VW ID.4 Pro S the battery charge indicator seems to come and go at will. The VW has wireless CarPlay, the Honda wired but I mostly use a third party wireless adapter. Makes no difference; it’s there sometimes and others it’s not. ‍

That's the CarPlay display, right? So it should show up. Do you have the latest iOS 26.5.1 update installed? It specifically fixes a charging issue for iPhone 17 and iPhone Air.

I think that blue icon below the calendar icon is causing the phone battery indicator to disappear. The blue icon seems to be Siri voice control; try turning that off in Settings to see if the battery icon returns.
