Slightly off topic, but in the spirit of what this thread has become; here is a video on how they load and unload the ROROs:
@nicholaskiz With 3 east coast bound boats all docked at Southampton right now, It would surprise me if you didn’t get on a boat shortly. Then again the last 8 months has surprised me…Stuck "At Port" for 15 days.
Yes, there is a good thread on this already.Hello Everyone....THIS POST IS VERY IMPORTANT, please read:
The US Senate has voted to pass the "Inflation Reduction Act of 2022", which will affect the EV Tax Credit qualification process. This Act will now proceed to the US House for one final vote; it will be in full effect by August 20th.
Once fully enacted, the wording states that "only domestically-built EVs will qualify for the $7,500 EV Tax Credit". When I read this, I started to worry, since clearly these MINI SE's are built overseas.
To still qualify for the EV Tax Credit, especially for new orders placed recently, please make sure that your Purchase Order clearly states your legal name, legal current address, is DATED prior to Congress passing this Act.
My understanding is that if your Purchase Order is dated AFTER the Act is passed, then your MINI SE may not qualify for the $7,500 Credit.
This is breaking news and I'm sure the US House will slightly change some of the details, prior to passing.
We should all follow this closely.
The SE is still one of the cheapest EVs available even without any tax rebate. If you were to buy the ICE version you'd be paying the same price. Not to mention with the current rebate you don't see the money until you do your tax returns—assuming you owe enough taxes to get the full amount. Not only do we have to worry about long delays and Interest Rate increases....but now this sh**!![]()
ROTFLMAOMy dealer just called me to tell me car is at the port….
OMGMy dealer just called me to tell me car is at the port….
Regardless if the car is still a good deal....it hurts to lose $7,500. Do you agree? The SE is still one of the cheapest EVs available even without any tax rebate. Agreed; I went in yesterday and signed a purchase order (including agreeing on a trade in value and securing the CT state rebate which the dealership takes care of).Regardless if the car is still a good deal....it hurts to lose $7,500. Do you agree?
I hope your dealer means your SE is now at the destination port.My dealer just called me to tell me car is at the port….
I wish!I hope your dealer means your SE is now at the destination port.
